Leading specialty retailer poised for growth in 2011 is seeking a Director of Allocation.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Analyze flash sales by store report and monitor shifts in selling trends
- Review and update current procedures
- Maintain and manage allocation systems and procedures; update systems and procedures to accommodate company growth (increase in stores)
- Develop and manage distribution programs for peak selling periods such as Back-To-School and Holiday
- Project and track new store inventory levels and assortment mix
- Creation of Regional plans to support assortment and capitalize on regional opportunities
- Review and project merchandise flow with Operations department to manage efficiency in processing
- Manage inventory levels in the distribution center to ensure timely distributions
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of senior level store planning & allocation experience with strong analytical and mathematical aptitude. Ability to manage and lead a team of people is essential to success.
